Pricing Information and How to Get a Quote

Rough Costs

Giving a rough cost is almost impossible as it depends on so many factors, a small fireplace hearth can be anywhere from £80 to £800 depending on whether you collect your order, the size, the colours you like and how complicated the design is. An outside path or step can be anywhere from £150 to £2500 and a hallway can be anywherere from £500 to £15,000. You can get a rough price for your area with our quick quote page. We aim to respond within a few minutes if we are open and not busy with customers.

How we price these floors

We price these floors on an individual basis. Every floor is different - the measurements, shape, how many doorways there are, the colours you choose, what pattern and border you have all affect the price, so no floor is the same. We start by giving you a rough price - you are welcome to get a rough price for several options if you like, then you decide on a pattern and border and we draw it to scale to accurately plan the look of the overall floor and the quantity of tiles you will need.

Why it is not possible to give a price per square metre

Since every floor is different, pricing by the metre can result in you having too many or too few tiles. For example, take two floors. One is a rectangle, 150 x 500cm, the other, a rough square 250 x 300cm. Both these floors have a total area of 7.5 square metres, but the perimeter of the rectangle is 2 metres longer than the other room. That means that if we assume the quantity of tiles you need based on the square metreage you could end up with two metres more or less tiles than you need. For a complex design with many small pieces, this could be hundreds of pounds.

Getting a rough price

Come in to the showroom with your measurements, email them to us or submit a quick quote form on our quick quote page, we will work out a price for the pattern and border you want and you can use that to continue with your order or make adjustments, you can ask for as many rough prices as you want to get an idea for costs.

Getting a final price

Once you are happy with a design and border, provide us with a sketch and accurate measurements and we will draw your area to scale, plan the symmetry and look of the design and border and accurately calculate how many tiles you will need.

An example of a sketch we'd ask for

This sketch is clearly labelled with accurate measurements. We do not need a work of art and we don't work from architects plans, just a rough sketch that clearly shows the shape of the room, with accurate measurements on is great. We do need every measurement, not just the width and length of each section, for example. A few centimetres can be the difference between fitting or not fitting a pattern in.

Please also let us know if your measurements include skirtings, and if not, whether skirting is to go on. Again, a couple of centimetres can mean we may have to cut the pattern a row more or less than if skirting is already included, which can impact the look and cost of the floor.

What happens next?

Once you have had your accurate price and drawing, we either pick the order from stock if we have them, or we order them from the factory. You or your tiler can then collect your order and any materials you may need. If you are not collecting, we can have the order sent to you.

Recommending a tiler

If you need us to recommend a tiler, please ask. We know a number of highly dependable, experienced tilers that know how to work with and lay these tiles. They have done work for our customers all over the country (though please bear in mind not every tiler is willing to travel and those that do, will charge for this).

How it works when we recommend a tiler

If you need us to recommend a tiler, once you're happy with your design and price, we will put you in touch with the tiler who will come out to visit you, confirm your measurements and assess what work needs to be done to prepare and lay the area. They will then come back to us with a list of materials they will need and give you a quote for their labour. At this point you will have everything you need to order.

We encourage you to order your tilers if you definitely want them, regardless of if you have a tiler yet - as of June 2026, prices for tiles are quite volatile as both fuel/oil and gas are used extensively in the manufacturing and transport of tiles. If you hold off for a month, for example, it may be that the price of your floor has changed. On a large/complicated design this could be a few hundred pounds.
